The 2018 UK Lunar Dog 1oz Silver Coin is the fifth coin in the Royal Mint's Shēngxiào Collection. The coins reverse design features a terrier, along with the inscription 'Year of the Dog. 2018'. Also detailed upon this side of the coin is the weight and fineness, along with the Chinese number eight, which is believed to be lucky.
The obverse of both coins depict the fifth portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on a new guilloche background design, and the monetary denomination of £2.
